How to Connect to Your Regional or General Staff Account in ALEX2

Getting Started

We imported existing Regional Staff and General Staff users from ALEX to ALEX2. This process will recover your account in ALEX2 by connecting your name and email address to an ALEX2 account.


Go to the ALEX login page at alex.disciples.org


IMPORTANT: Click the Forgot Username or Password link. The Create Account link and the Sign Up button will create a new user account. Instructions to create an account for church staff are in How to create an account in ALEX2 to enter the Yearbook report for your church.


ALEX2 will take you to the page to recover your account. Enter your email address and click Reset Password.

Connect to Your Existing Account

If ALEX2 finds the email address you entered, ALEX2 will ask you to create your user name.

After you enter a username and click Create Username, ALEX2 will do two things. It will take you to a page requesting a password reset code.

ALEX will also send an email message to your address. This email will contain three important pieces of information.It will contain the username you created and a link that you can use to proceed to the page where you will create a password. It will also contain the password reset code that you can copy and paste into the form shown above.


Whether you choose to click the link or copy and paste the code, ALEX2 will take you to the page where you create your password.

Enter your password and confirm it, then click Submit. ALEX2 will display a success message.

This is your indication that you have successfully connected to your ALEX2 account. Click the blue Log In button to log into ALEX2.




Request a New ALEX2 Account

If ALEX2 did not find the email address you entered, you will need to request a new account.

Use the Back button to return to the login screen, and click the orange Request Account: Regional/General Staff button. ALEX2 will ask for your email address again. Enter it and click Check Email Address.


Engage will display the form to request your account.

Enter your first and last name. In the Organization Type box, select Regional Ministry or General Ministry. If you select Regional Ministry, select your region from the Region drop list. Click Request Account.


ALEX2 will display a success message. 

This indicates that the system administrator has received notification of your request. Once the administrator has set up your account, you will receive an email instructing you to return to the login page and begin again with the Forgot Username or Password link.
