Start by Looking for Your Account

We were able to bring most of the reporter accounts from the old ALEX system to ALEX2, so you will start by checking to see if ALEX2 already has your account.

Go to the ALEX login page and click the Forgot Username or Password link.

On the following page, enter your email address and click Reset Password.

If ALEX2 Does Not Find Your Account

If ALEX2 does not find an account with the email address you entered, double check the email address you entered. If it is correct, click Back, and skip ahead in this article to Create an ALEX2 Account.

If ALEX2 Finds Your Account

If ALEX2 finds an account with your email address, it will show this page and display the name on the account.

Click on the name, and ALEX2 will move to the next page where you create a user name for your ALEX2 account. Enter the user name you want to use, and click Create Username.

Create a Username

After you click Create Username, ALEX2 will do two things: present a page where you will enter a password reset code, and send an email to your address that contains the password reset code.

The email you receive will contain three key pieces of information: the username you created, a link to reset your password, and the password reset code.

In the email you can either click on the Password Link or copy the Password Code and paste it into the Enter password reset code screen shown above. If you copy and paste the code, click Check Code.

ALEX2 will take you to the page where you will enter and confirm your password.

Enter a password, and enter it again for confirmation. Click Submit, and ALEX2 will confirm that you have successfully created your account.

Click Log in to log into your ALEX2 account!

Create an ALEX2 Account

To create an account in ALEX2, you will two pieces of information. First, you will need your congregation's PIN. This uniquely identifies your congregation in the system. If you do not know the PIN, you can find it in a printed Yearbook and Directory, request it from your regional office, or request it via an email to alex@disciples.org. When emailing ALEX Support, be sure to include your congregation's name, city, and state.

You will also need an access code to complete the process. You can get the access code by sending an email to alex@disciples.org with the subject line ALEX Access Code.

On the ALEX home page, click on the green Sign Up: Yearbook Reporter button.

On the next page, enter your email address and click the Check Email Address button. Check that the address is correct before clicking the button.

ALEX2 display the sign up page with a link that says, Click here to create a new account. Click that link.

ALEX2 will take you to a page where you will enter your first and last name and choose the church role that best describes your work with the church. You will also enter the six-character church PIN, and the access code, chalice1968. Then click Create Account.
